How can we help?

Quick start

1. Launch PasteList. It will appear in your Mac’s menu bar.
2. Copy text, a link, an image, a file, or a folder as usual.
3. Press ⇧⌘V to open your clipboard history.
4. Select an item to restore it to the clipboard and paste it.

Automatic Paste

PasteList can return to the previous app and send only the ⌘V shortcut after you choose an item. macOS shows this PostEvent permission under System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility.

PasteList does not read or control another app’s interface. If you do not grant the permission, the selected item still stays copied — simply press ⌘V yourself.

Permission is not working

1. Open PasteList Settings and confirm the Automatic Paste status.
2. Open System Settings and enable PasteList under Accessibility.
3. Quit and reopen PasteList if macOS does not refresh the status immediately.

History and cleanup

Unpinned clipboard items are automatically limited by age and count. Pinned items remain until you unpin or delete them. Use Clear History inside PasteList to remove stored clipboard data immediately.
